With The Force Awakens right around the corner, there are two camps when it comes to consuming Star Wars information. There are those that want to take in as much as they can, so they won’t have any questions or surprises when the movie starts, and hen there are those that try to stay away from the internet, as even the slightest spoiler will ruin their experience.
Thanks to the above video, fans of all types can gather around and watch together, since it gives both camps lots of information, without revealing any Force Awakens plot points. Thanks to IGN, fans can amaze their friends on Star Wars trivia night with this infographic chronicling every single Jedi.
While the video only shows “new canon” Jedi (sorry, Mara Jade), there is still a plethora of Jedi facts to absorb. Here are some of the highlights:
- Chronologically, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are the first Jedi to appear in the new canon Star Wars universe.
- An extra from The Phantom Menace was retconned into an undercover Jedi Knight, Quinlan Voss.
- Over 200 Jedi made their first, and some their last, appearance in Attack of the Clones. Some of them have still not been named.
- The Clone Wars was able to showcase many of the different races in the Star Wars universe, making them a part of the Jedi Order
The video ranges from Phantom Menace to A New Hope, where the supposed last of the Jedi, Luke Skywalker. was introduced. I am looking forward to seeing what updates are made, if any, after The Force Awakens.
So what do you think? Did you realize there were THAT many Jedi? Would you have like to see the expanded universe included as well? Let me know on Twitter or use the Force in the comments below.
