We Want YOU! in the Nerdist News Live Studio Audience

Remember last month when we told you the best news in the history of news? The fact that Nerdist News was being developed into a real, live television series for Syfy? (Not that we’re biased, but it’s pretty great as far as news goes.) Well, the ball has been a-rollin’ all around these parts and we’re very nearly ready to unleash the beast, metaphorically speaking, but to do that we need something. Namely: you.

We’re looking for a studio audience and we thought to ourselves, “Hey, ourselves, wouldn’t it be swell to invite our loyal Nerdist readers to the taping to really amp up the energy?” So hopefully you’re down to do us this particular solid if you live close to Burbank, California and are free on the 19th of May.

In order to do that, though, we probably need to provide you some preliminary info in order to apply, huh? Luckily, we’ve got all those delicious deetz hot ‘n’ ready, because we like to prepare you! We’re like boy scouts in that way:

What is it? Nerdist News is expanding from its usual daily web-series into a half-hour long special. And we totally want you to come to the first ever live-taping and make history with us!

When is it? Tuesday, May 19th, 2015. You’ll need to arrive no later than 1pm. (The taping will finish at 6pm and you will not be able to leave until it’s complete. For 5 hours you will be OURS!)

Where is it? Burbank, California. (We’ll send an exact address once we’ve confirmed your attendance.)

Is there an age requirement? Yes. Because of our offbeat content, we require everyone in the studio audience be at least 18-years-old.

Email us: [email protected] and specify how many people are in your party. We have limited space available, so send the sooner the better.

Thanks for applying — and maybe we’ll even see you soon!
