Super Realistic Dinosaur Costumes May Be Used in Real-Life JURASSIC PARK

Let’s all be honest with ourselves: even if there was a very high probability of getting eaten by a dinosaur, we’d all still want to visit a real-life Jurassic Park. But, since the science isn’t quite there yet—still need to find frogs that don’t change their sex all willy-nilly!—we’ll have to make due with something else in the meantime. Cue Japan (of course) and what have got to be the most realistic dinosaur costumes of all time.

The super-realistic dinosaur costumes in the above clip, which comes via Sploid, are the creations of a Japanese firm with the vaguely sinister-sounding name ON-ART Corp. (it’s not quite InGen, but the “Corp.” really helps to sell the promise of something mischievous). According to Reuters, ON-ART Corp. revealed the “man-operated robotic models” in Tokyo on Thursday to help sell the idea of an “entertainment park where visitors will be able to see the realistic replicas first hand.” Note: “First hand” apparently means sticking your head inside their mouths.

The dinosaurs are around 26 feet tall, and come in various frightening flavors including AllosaurusTyrannosaurus rex, and Velociraptor. Yes, ON-ART Corp. bred-err constructed from carbon fiber materials Velociraptors. No word on how clever they are, if they have feathers, or if they’re going to coo or quack like ducks.

ON-ART Corp.’s CEO, Kazuya Kanemaru, reportedly wants to call the theme park “DINO-A-PARK,” which doesn’t quite have the same ominous ring as Jurassic Park. But then again, the likelihood of getting eaten is probably much lower.

What do you think about these super-realistic dinosaur costumes? Would you throw down some green to live the DINO-A-PARK dream, or are you still waiting for the real thing? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
