I think it’s pretty safe to say that kids today get some pretty awesome things. If you have a nerd parent, the chances of you getting a bunch of awesome swag is made immeasurably higher. The “I wish I had that when I was a kid” factor is a pretty powerful one when it comes to this kind of thing, and the children of today can only benefit. If your parent is an honest to goodness Super Fan, then the floodgates of memorabilia will open wide, my friends. Damn, it’d be great to be a kid again (he said only half seriously).
