Super-Cute Guardians of the Galaxy Highlight a New Gallery Show by 100% Soft

Who’s ready to dive back into the cutest crowds you’ll ever see? I know. Crowds are usually terrible things you should avoid at all costs, but you’ll want to be part of the masses that star in this art by Truck Torrence, a.k.a. 100% Soft. “Mass Hysteria 2,” his second art show focusing on groups, launched at Gallery 1988 East this past Friday (we covered the first show last year). The collection focuses on presenting characters from films and television together. For example, look at this Guardians of the Galaxy illustration:

The show features similarly styled prints from franchises such as Mad Max: Fury Road, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and the list goes on. And Mass Hysteria 2 isn’t only about framed art. Truck’s done a handful of character pins in his signature adorable style, and there are a few layered laser acrylic cut pieces that you can hang on your wall–including a tiny Groot. If you can get to Gallery 1988 to see the show in person, do it. Getting up close and personal with this cuddly-looking Immortan Joe is enough of a reason to go, right?

I’d put Immortan Joe in my living room.

Mass Hysteria 2 is calling Gallery 1988 East home until September 17. See a few samples from the show featuring Breaking Bad, Pulp Fiction, and Lord of the Rings in the gallery below. View more of the series and buy prints at Gallery 1988 and see more of Truck’s work at his website–but just so you know, there are kaiju kitties. Yep.

Which pop culture crowds do you like best? Tell me in the comments.
