SUICIDE SQUAD Song “Sucker For Pain” Includes Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Imagine Dragons

The movie promotion cycle is a fickle thing. Everybody is always trying to break the mold and draw attention to their product in new ways, and although an original song isn’t exactly novel, the folks behind “Sucker For Pain,” a new track from the upcoming soundtrack album for Suicide Squad, certainly thought outside of the box in terms of its artists: Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, Logic, Imagine Dragons, and X Ambassadors are all on the track, a cast as varied as that of the movie itself.

The song was released yesterday, but today comes its official music video, which features the song’s artists in gritty environments similar to those seen in the movie clips mixed in with the footage. Lil Wayne’s lyrics, especially ““I’m devoted to destruction / A full dosage of detrimental dysfunction / I’m dyin’ slow but the devil tryna rush me,” take on another layer of meaning following his recent health scares, when he recently had two seizures aboard a private plane.

The rest of the movie’s soundtrack seems equally interesting, especially the cover of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Panic! At The Disco. It also includes the Skrillex and Rick Ross collaboration “Purple Lamborghini,” “Standing In The Rain” by Action Bronson and Dan Auerbach featuring Mark Ronson, Grimes’ “Medieval Warfare,” and other new songs that have us excited.
