SUICIDE SQUAD Cast Talks Sequels, Spinoffs, and their New “Skwad”

When you’ve got an impossible–probably lethal–task in the DCEU, don’t send for Superman or bother Batman. Call the other guys, “the worst of the worst.” Call the Suicide Squad.

The third installment in DC Entertainment’s evolving movie franchise follows the mayhem-laced misadventures of “the worst heroes ever,” boasting Will Smith‘s dangerous Deadshot, Margot Robbie‘s unhinged Harley Quinn, Cara Delevingne‘s wicked Enchantress, and Jai Courtney’s rowdy Captain Boomerang. With Suicide Squad hitting theaters today, we ventured to the red carpet of the film’s New York Premiere to chat with its stars and creators, including writer/director David Ayer, Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Jared Leto (The Joker), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Adam Beach (Slipknot), Karen Fukuhara (Katana), Shailyn Peirre-Dixon (Deadshot’s daughter), Jim Parrack (Joker’s right-hand minion Mr. Frost), and Corina Calderon (Diablo’s Wife), plus co-creator of Harley Quinn, Paul Dini, and Harley Quinn comic writers Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti. We dove into all things Suicide Squad, from what the cast snatched from set, to what the hopes might be for a sequel and Harley-centered spinoff.
