STRANGER THINGS Season 2 Trailer Reveals a Monster from the Skies

It’s been a long year since Stranger Things captured our collective hearts, but the wait is almost over. The final trailer for the second season has arrived, and it’s about turn our lives Upside Down all over again. All you really need to know is that it’s 1984, and the world is about to end. Welcome back to Hawkins!

As you can see in the new footage, Eleven and Sheriff Hopper must have been in communication with each other, since she picks up the Eggos that he left for her at the end of last season before she makes a pretty spectacular homecoming. The problem is that Eleven isn’t alone, and the Shadow Monster in the sky looks like it’s going to be a lot harder to deal with than the Demogorgon.

This time around, Hopper isn’t skeptical about the alternate world, and it looks like Mike, Will, Lucas, and Dustin will also find their way into the Upside Down. It’s also clear that Hopper may come to regret striking a deal with the forces behind Hawkins Laboratory, as they seem more interested in exploiting Will’s connection to the other world than in treating him. There are also a few scenes near the end of the trailer that suggest that the extended cast will face a threat together late in the season. And that leads to an amusing moment between Dustin and Steve in the closing seconds.

Stranger Things season two will drop on Friday, October 27 on Netflix.
