STRANGER THINGS Season 3 Reveals Its Episode Titles

Stranger Things might be starting to go full-J.J. Abrams on us with mystery boxes, as the newest teaser from Netflix reveals nothing but the names of all upcoming episodes. Much like the recent hidden Morse code message in the official book, this is going to have fans poring over possible explanations with a fine-toothed baby Demogorgon. But before we go too deep, take a look for yourself:

So here’s what we have: “Suzie, Do You Copy,” “The Mall Rats,” “The Case of the Missing Lifeguard,” “The Sauna Test,” “The Source,” “The Birthday,” “The Bite,” and “The Battle of Starcourt.” Starcourt refers to the mall we’ve seen in earlier teases, so it sounds like we may be in for a Dawn of the Dead-style showdown from the pre-Paul Blart era. Season 3 will be set in the summer of 1985, which puts it about half a year after the events of season 2.

Given that Barb’s fate was sealed in the vicinity of a swimming pool and a lifeguard appears to be missing this time, boy, you just don’t want to go near any water in Hawkins, Indiana. As far as “Suzie,” the best we can figure out is that it could refer to Max’s mother Susan Hargrove. And sauna testing? Assuming there’s a new monster threat, perhaps it’s vulnerable to high temperatures.

Speculation is half the fun here. And with the Upside Down seemingly taken care of, the possibilities for what dangers come next feel near-endless. We’ll just have to wait for summertime to find out how our heroes handle the latest thing grown-ups don’t want to know about…
