STRANGER THINGS Season 2 New Characters Revealed!

It’s been a great week for fans of Netflix’s breakout sci-fi drama Stranger Things. Wednesday, word came down that season 2 is a go, and some of the cast members even made an appearance in character during a comedy sketch on The Tonight Show. We may be a few months away from casting news, but details have emerged about some of the new characters that will make season 2 even stranger. Today’s Nerdist News is on the case, over!

TVLine had the initial scoop about three of the new faces moving to moving to Hawkins. As speculated by Nerdist News host and Eggo Queen of Indiana, Jessica Chobot, the “MadMax” title teased in the season 2 announcement video does refer to one of the new characters. We now know that Max is a skateboard riding 12-14 year-old girl who is “tough and confident” and she may be a bit of a toyboy if this description is accurate: “[her] appearance, behavior and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era.”

Max’s older brother, Billy, is also joining the show, and he sounds like he’ll out-Steve Steve in the new season. The description from TVLine calls Billy a “very muscular and hyper-confident” young man and it mentions that he drives a Camaro. But what we’re wondering is if Billy will be “The Lost Brother” who was also teased in yesterday’s video.

Finally, we’ve got Roman, a role that may go to a man or a woman in their thirties, who we’re thinking could be one of Eleven’s predecessors in the experiments at Hawkins Laboratory. The only thing currently known about Roman is that they “suffered a great loss at an early age and has been seeking revenge ever since.” The road to revenge would be a lot easier if Roman has superpowers like Eleven.
