Netflix has arguably turned into the best home for original comedy specials the last few years. As impressive as their collection already is, adding another show starring either Steve Martin or Martin Short to their lineup would be among the streaming site’s biggest hits yet. But a new trailer reveals Netflix did something even better than getting one of them—they got both of the beloved performers on stage together for a night of telling stories, making fun of one another, and doing some song and dance.
The first trailer for the ironically titled Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget Forever features the two friends of 30 years insulting each other over everything from their appearances and lack of awards, to busting out some of their most famous characters, to getting down to Steve Martin’s banjo. Oh, and it also features Martin Short wearing one of the most disturbing costumes you will ever see (which alone is reason enough none of us will ever forget this evening).
The special will also see them “share countless quips, catchy tunes, and hilarious stories about their lives in comedy.” We’re not sure how long it will be, but since they did call this an “evening” we demand at least eight to 12 hours of these two doing that. If this is only an hour we are going to be very mad.
Although we probably don’t need to see Martin Short wearing that costume for more than a couple of minutes.
An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest Of Your Life comes to Netflix on May 25.
