Steve Coogan Bringing SOS: SAVE OUR SKINS to FearNet and BiteTV

After being one of the biggest and brightest of comedy stars in the U.K., directing critically acclaimed film Philomena, Steve Coogan is now adding another feather in his wonderful, accomplished cap by co-producing a horror comedy series into a full blown TV show (a la Burning Love going from Yahoo! to E!).

Nat Saunders and Chris Hayward’s Save Our Skins, about two guys who wake up to find that they’re the last humans on Earth (or, at least, that’s what they think), was already a project on both sides of the pond, with cooperating production companies Canada and the U.K. involved in the post-apocalyptic buddy comedy series set in New York. Now, with the help of Coogan’s Baby Cow Productions, the U.S. and Canada will now get to see 13 seven-minute episodes on television via FearNet and BiteTV starting April 1st and April 5th, respectively.

Comedy is such a hot commodity now that not only is AMC branching out, FearNet is genre-mashing to get in on the action.
