STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Deleted Scene Shows Unkar Plutt’s Fate

A new 3D Blu-ray edition of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is on its way very soon, and with it comes a whole new batch of extra features. Thanks to the folks at Entertainment Weekly, we’ve learned that among those features are a whole new set of never before seen deleted scenes from the film, including one which reveals the original fate of Simon Pegg’s villainous Unkar Plutt, who ran the giant junkyard on the planet Jakku, and who was a giant thorn in the side of Rey.

In the final cut of the movie, the last we see of Plutt is when he’s shaking his fists in the air in anger after Rey and Finn steal “his” ship, the Millennium Falcon. Now in this just-released deleted scene from the new Blu-ray, we learn that at one point in the editing process of the film, J.J. Abrams had  Plutt track Rey and the others to Maz Kanata’s bar on Takodana, and tried to get the Falcon back. Only Rey wasn’t having it this time, and neither was her new friend Chewbacca. You can watch a portion of this new clip down below.

The clip above ends at the point where Plutt confronts Chewie about the Falcon, but on the new 3D Blu-ray disc, the scene continues a little longer past that point. I won’t say exactly what happens next here, but fans will finally see a Wookiee do something we’ve only heard about them doing since A New Hope, but have never actually seen them do. That should be a big enough hint right there for most hardcore Star Wars fans.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens 3D Blu-ray will hit stores on November 15th.

Are you excited about a whole new set of special features for The Force Awakens, or do you refuse to double dip and are sticking to the original Blu-ray? Let us know down below!

How about that next Star Wars movie? We’re pretty jazzed about it!
