STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS – THE LOST MISSIONS Gets A Trailer

When the Clone Wars animated series ended its run last year on Cartoon Network, it left many plot threads dangling we thought might never be resolved (and one in particular, involving the fate of Darth Maul, is going to be resolved in comic book form from Dark Horse this May.) In the new trailer for Clone Wars: The Lost Missions, which premieres on Netflix streaming on March 7th, it shows that many of the final episodes of the series will be dealing with long standing questions:

-Remember the whole mystery plot of Episode II: Attack of the Clones, about a long dead Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas who ordered the Clone Army for the Republic, but then it looked like it was really Count Dooku who did it, but if Dooku did it, why does his army consist of Battle-Droids? Yeah, that whole plotline that was dropped by Revenge of the Sith, because they figured nobody cared. They underestimated how much Star Wars geeks care about the galaxy far, far away in all its minutiae. Looks like we are getting some episodes that explain the whole Sifo-Dyas mystery, finally.

-And remember how at the end of Revenge of the Sith, Yoda tells Obi-Wan that he’s discovered a way to survive past death, and that Qui-Gon Jinn showed him how? Yeah, when did that happen?? Well, know we are going to see how Yoda and Qui-Gon managed to reconnect, so to speak. And we get to see Yoda’s first ever trip to Dagobah. And Yoda fights some evil version of himself on the Sith homeworld. I know which episodes I’m watching first.

Of course, some plot threads probably won’t be resolved until Star Wars: Rebels premieres on Disney XD this fall. I’m looking at you, Ahsoka Tano.
