How do you pay proper homage to some of the smallest heroes of the Star Wars galaxyâa group who played a huge role in defeating the Empire? You build them a shrine, that’s how. Specifically, one in the form of a massive LEGO Ewok village.
This detailed recreation of the furry little warriors’ dwelling stands over three feet tall and was built by KW Vauban. The engineer in question also took the time to recreate some of the most memorable scenes from Return of the Jedi that took place right there on the forest moon of Endor.
Vauban posted tons of photos you can spend ages studying, but some of our favorites include: The Ewoks carrying C-3PO around like the god they believed him to be, Han and Leia celebrating the defeat of the Emperor, and a merry appearance from Admiral Ackbar.
Vauban also provided some detailed photos of individual vehicles he made for the scene, including a Forest Ranger and Ewok battle wagon.
However, the best has to be the LEGO recreation of Luke burning Darth Vaderâs body on a pyre. If you look closely it kind of looks like Luke is smiling…but weâll just imagine heâs trading grins with LEGO Force ghosts that we canât see. (Preferably the LEGO Force ghost of old Anakin Skywalker, not Hayden Christensen.)
We have more images in our gallery below, but head over to Vaubanâs page to see all of them. Even if youâre not a big fan of the Ewoks, you’ll likely find this creation really cool.
What locale from Star Wars would you like to see in LEGO form? Letâs build a consensus in the comments section below.
