Much has been made out of the fact that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story didn’t have an opening crawl like the rest of the films in the series. That’s amusing because Rogue One wouldn’t exist without the opening crawl of the original Star Wars, and there are seven other crawls to choose from, with an eighth presumably included with Episode VIII later this year. But first, fans will have a chance to wear two of the opening crawls as scarves.
Entertainment Earth has revealed the first look at its opening crawl scarves for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Curiously, the crawl for A New Hope wasn’t among the first Star Wars crawl scarves, even though it is easily the most famous of all of the crawls. The new Star Wars opening crawl scarves haven’t been produced yet, but Entertainment Earth posted two pieces of concept art for what they may look like.
Each scarf is priced at $19.99, with an estimated release in May 2017. Entertainment Earth has put both scarves up for pre-order here and here, so you can soon keep your necks warm with these very famous words. It’s such a fun and clever idea that we’d even love to see the prequel trilogy get some scarves of their own.
