For the first time since Marvel reclaimed the Star Wars comic rights, Han Solo is getting his own miniseries next month! And of course, heâll be joined by his good buddy and Millennium Falcon copilot Chewbacca for the intergalactic race of his life.
Former Astonishing X-Men writer Marjorie Liu and acclaimed cover artist Mark Brooks are joining forces for Star Wars: Han Solo, which catches up with the title character in-between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. You know, back when he was more of a scoundrel than a Rebel. Now thatâs the Han Solo we love!
Marvel has released a preview of Brooksâ interior pages from Star Wars: Han Solo # 1, and they are insanely gorgeous. Itâs been a long time since Brooks drew a complete comic book, but it appears to be more than worth the wait!
Hereâs Marvelâs description of Star Wars: Han Solo # 1:
âHan Solo has finally entered his ship into the Dragon Void Run â an infamous high-stakes race across the stars. You know, the race Han has dreamt of winning. Only thereâs a catch â his entry into this legendary race is a top-secret undercover mission for Princess Leia and the Rebellion! Will he keep his mind on the mission? More importantly â can he manage to pull it off while still maintaining his lead in the race?!â
You can find the rest of the preview pages in our gallery below along with covers by Lee Bermejo, John Cassaday, Mike Allred, Scott Koblish, John Tyler Christopher, and even a photo cover of Harrison Ford himself!
Star Wars: Han Solo # 1 will be released on Wednesday, June 15.
