The fantastic Family Guy parodies of the original Star Wars trilogy are a must-watch for any fan of the galaxy far, far, but we do have one complaint about them: they didn’t make more. And if there were any doubts Fox needs to finally take on the prequels next, we just put them down like a class of younglings. We got Seth Green to play Anakin Skywalker as Chris Griffin on Talkinâ Toons, and the results were most impressive.
In this latest clip from our terrific Alpha series, Seth Green almost killed host Rob Paulsen with his reading of Anakin Skywalker as Family Guy‘s high-strung but dim-witted teenage son. The two recreated Revenge of the Sith‘s epic final showdown between the newest Sith Lord and Obi-Wan (played by Rob as Pinky from Animaniacs). We can’t fault Rob for cracking up throughout this whole scene.
Chris Griffin played Luke Skywalker in Family Guy’s Star Wars parodies, but he makes for an even better Anakin. He has anger issues, always seems to be confused at what’s going on, and is very easily manipulated. But while this was hysterical, what’s really stunning is that somehow Seth Green managed to make Anakin’s terrible dialogue in that scene (it is so, so bad) sound intimidating. Chris Griffin sounds far more menacing than Hayden Christensen did.

And hopefully this is the catalyst for Fox to get working on Family Guy/Star Wars prequel parodies. They either agree with us they have to make them….or they are our enemy! (Wow, that threat really does not sound scary. Unless Chris Griffin makes it.)
