STAR WARS: EPISODE IX’s Opening Crawl Just Fixed All of THE LAST JEDI’s Problems

There are so many possibilities in front of J.J. Abrams as the director of Star Wars: Episode IX. After all, The Last Jedi introduced a ton of new twists and turns to the story first introduced in The Force Awakens; the film eschewed Star Wars tradition to answer the question of Rey’s parentage, it eschewed the tradition of answering questions at all by closing the book on Snoke’s story, and sent Luke Skywalker into the great beyond for good. And everybody was happy!

Well, okay, not everybody was happy. So maybe Episode IX will give Abrams a chance to win back some fans who weren’t thrilled with some of the choices made by The Last Jedi. Think that sounds farfetched? Well, Nerdist Presents‘ inside scoop on Episode IX’s opening crawl begs to differ…

Obviously, every bit of that is totally legit. Luke Skywalker could have a clone! It happened in Legends; he had a clone called Luuke Skywalker. Maybe Luuke is kicking around in the current storytelling universe; heck, maybe this time, he’s Luuuke. Also, Snoke could have survived being cut in half! That happened with Darth Maul, didn’t it?

I’m just saying this opening crawl has some grains of truth, and that probably at least five of these spoilers have fan theories backing them on Reddit… which means it’s true. All of it.

What do you think is most likely to be in Episode IX‘s opening crawl? The part about Rey’s parents is totally going to stay, right? Share all your theories in the comments. This video should prove we have absolutely no reason to judge you.

Stay in the galaxy far, far away with these stories!
