STAR WARS Dog Fights Set to Kenny Loggins “Danger Zone”

Leia.

Leia.

LEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIAAAAAA!!!!

We all know that the galaxy far, far away is no place for the meek. There the forces of good and evil are in a constant struggle for the very fate of the universe, where one false move can mean total annihilation for your rebellion, or instant obliteration of your mega-structure of death.

Truly, Star Wars exists in….the Danger Zone.

Which is why this video, made by Weston Wong and uploaded to Vimeo, featuring every Star Wars dog fight set to Kenny Loggins‘ diesel-fueled song “Danger Zone,” will have you eager to strap on your replica helmet, jump in your car, and start making “pew-pew-pew” noises as you drive down the highway.

Um, that’s completely awesome. Although we are always bummed out to see old Porkins eat it….I mean bite the big one….I mean get blown up.

Made famous by Tom Cruise’s fighter pilot opus Top Gun, and forever kept in the public consciousness by Sterling Archer, Kenny Loggins “Danger Zone” doesn’t have to be exclusively used for fighter pilot battles, but it’s where it truly belongs. And at least with the Star Wars films we have some idea who is fighting whom and for what reason. It’s been 30 years since Top Gun came out and I still have no idea who they were fighting at the end.

Okay, line up all seven Star Wars movies. This should be really goofy and silly, but instead it’s got me pumped to watch some space fighting.
