Samsung’s STAR WARS Robot Vacuums Will Hunt Rebel Scum in Your Home

There are really no circumstances in the galaxy far, far away when seeing a stormtrooper patrolling your streets or having Darth Vader show up at your door is a good thing. However for those of us who live in this galaxy, inviting either of them into your home is now one of the best ways to keep your floors clean while also showing off your love of all things Star Wars, thanks to the new limited edition POWERbot robotic vacuums from Samsung.

If you’re determined to keep your carpets and hardwood floors free of literal rebel scum, Samsung promises this machine is “smart enough to steer itself through your space, handle any terrain, avoid unexpected traps, and make quick decisions.”  And just like the advanced world of the Empire, these vacuums have some most impressive technology, including Visionary Mapping which allows them to scan your rooms contours so they can avoid traps–that’s probably why they don’t offer an Admiral Ackbar version. You can also control them with your smartphone or with your voice via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

And to prove they know what Star Wars lovers want, Samsung put together a promo that doubles as a great fan video.

You can imagine how much we love seeing a dog dressed like an Ewok, but the segment with the sand is truly inspired.

These are available to order now, but you might want to collect a bounty from the Empire first, because the Vader one will cost you $800, and the stormtrooper version is $700. But in fairness, that’s a much less damaging price than most people pay when the Empire shows up in their home.

Which room of your house would be the most appropriate to have a stormtrooper patrol? What about Vader? Suck up to us by sharing your best suggestions in the comments below.
