STAR WARS Celebration Europe Will Have Live Streams Galore

It was one thing when Star Wars Celebration was in Anaheim last year—that was at least in the United States. But this year Star Wars Celebration is in London, which may as well be a galaxy far, far away. But don’t lose heart, brave rebels and resistance folk—and maybe even some of you Imperials—there will be a way for anybody who can’t make it to the event next to see what’s going on. No Jedi powers required, though, since they’re going to live stream just about the whole gosh darn thing!

StarWars.com announced on Wednesday that The Star Wars Show will from Friday, July 15, through Sunday, July 17, live stream the event with celebrity guests, interviews with Star Wars creators, and panels all weekend long, hosted by Andi Gutierrez and Peter Townley. They did this last year and almost all of the major panels were streamed. It’s like CNN but specifically for Star Wars.

Even though most of the specific panels and interviews will be posted to the site in the next couple of days (and we’ll tell you about them right here when they’re available), we do know that on Friday, July 15, at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT, there will be a big, huge, awesome Rogue One: A Star Wars Story panel with director Gareth Edwards and producer and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy live onstage along with “special guests” who are yet to be announced. One can assume it’ll be cast members, but we’ll see, won’t we?

Keep watching this space for all the updates about Star Wars Celebration Europe as they’re announced, because we’re real excited about it and will be chomping at the bit to share!

Let us know what you’re hoping will happen at Celebration in the comments below!
