STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT Mod Shows a Beautiful War Among the Stars

Star Wars Battlefront  is easily one of the best looking games of the year. The galaxy far, far away has never felt so vivid and close.

Recently, we reported on a  Star Wars Battlefront mod that created life-like graphics for the game, but all we got to see of Martin Bergman’s “Toddyhancer” mod were some still images. Now, YouTuber Jack “jackfrags” Mason offers a look at his own graphics mod for the game. Jack’s mod not only makes for the most realistic version of the Star Wars shooter, but also runs at a smooth 60 frames-per-second in 4K resolution. After taking a look at this stunning video footage, it is safe to say Bergman has his work cut out for him.

Sadly, without a 4K monitor, and one heck of a high-speed internet connection, you may not be able to see the footage in all of its glory. Jack’s mod, and his decision to turn the game’s HUD off, make the video so realistic that I personally fear what kind of anxiety issues those large, chaotic combat matches could cause. Luckily, Maxence Cyrin’s piano cover of “Where is My Mind?” is calming enough to keep the video’s craziest battles from being overwhelming.

“The SweetFX Real-Life Mod” that Jack uses is available for PC gamers to download, but he warns that it is meant for high-end gaming rigs and can cause issues with older PCs. That is not uncommon for a graphics mod, but one that offers this kind of beauty could even give some hardcore PC gamers trouble.

Let us know what you think of Jack’s mod on Battlefront’s graphics in the comments below!
