This Horse’s STAR WARS AT-AT Costume Could Break a World Record

Oh, sure, Star Wars AT-AT costumes for dogs are cool. But they’re everywhere now, and to be honest, while they’re totally geeky and cute, they lack that certain threatening quality the Imperial Walker first showed off in The Empire Strikes Back. But put one on a horse, and now you’re talking. Via Geeks Are Sexy, an Indiana brewer/cosplayer named Michael Corrie has armed a 2000-pound Clydesdale named Moana with her own AT-AT costume.

The costume already won Corrie and Moana sixth place in a horse costume contest (“despite everything that could go wrong, going wrong,” as Corrie says), but the human half of this team has his sights on a Guinness World Record for “World’s Largest Star Wars Horse Costume.” The only problem is the entry fee is a steep $1000, so he has set up a GoFundMe.

If you’re worried about Moana, he has tested the costume out on her and says she’s fine with it. You can see for yourself what it (mostly) looks like in motion:

Moana has one huge advantage over the movie walkers: try to trip her up, and she’ll just jump over obstacles. Maybe the Empire should have considered incorporating that feature.

Do you want to see this equine exhibitor for the Empire go on to Guinness glory? Let us know what you think in comments.
