Coming off the heels of its unprecedented 12 day marathon on FXX, The Simpsons is quickly gearing up for a new season on Fox, and this year the showâs going to have something special: crossovers. While we have to wait until November for the Springifeld gang to meet up with Bender and his pals from Futurama, the new season will kick-off with a crossover event with a show we never thought weâd see: Family Guy (though technically this episode will count as the Family Guy season premiere and not a Simpsons episode, according to production codes).
For years the two series have sent subtle jabs at one another, but now, for the first time, Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin will inhabit the same space at the same time (in canon), and we have 14 new images for you that show what you can expect from the hour-long special set to air later this month:
The epic battle between Homer and Peter has been all over the ads of the episodes, but thereâs some other stuff here that has us cackling, mainly the image of Chris and Maggie sucking on pacifiers together. Also, why are Peter and Homer flying in a plane together?
With these images, we have to ask. If the episode is a hit, will the Simpsons make a visit to Quahog in the future? They have to, right?
The Simpsons/Family Guy crossover airs September 28Â on Fox.
