All the SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Trailer Easter Eggs

Even people who were wary of seeing yet another outing from yet another brand new Peter Parker in a Sony Spider-Man movie had to get excited when it was announced that this version of the wall-crawler would finally populate the official Marvel Cinematic Universe–in other words, the only comic book shared universe that’s succeeding both financially and critically at the moment. And the recent full trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming wasted no time in reminding everybody that this movie sits firmly inside the nearly-nine-year-old franchise, as well as being its own beast. Let’s take a look at some of the trailer’s best Easter eggs (in the video above)!

First and foremost, we’ve got a health class video hosted by none other than Captain America himself–interestingly, it’s got a be an old video. We know this for two reasons: First, since Captain America: Civil War, Captain America has been a fugitive, having even renounced his shield and code name. (It’s possible that Tony didn’t make this fact known to the public, since Captain America going AWOL would be a pretty big blow to the public reception of superheroes.) Second, he’s also wearing his The Avengers-era bright blue suit, which seemingly only Agent Coulson enjoyed. (Seriously, Chris Evans was not a fan.)

In addition, there’s evidence that Peter and his new buddy are tinkering with some Stark Repulsor tech in their lab. And speaking of Stark, we see the Vulture looking at an Iron Man helmet/mask and that is very clearly the same version of the suit that is worn the in the aforementioned Civil War. We already know the Tinkerer is in the movie and that it seems very likely he’s cobbling together the Vulture’s armaments from discarded hero and villain technology. So could we be in for a Vulture doing his dirty work using Stark Industries’ own weaponry?

We’ve got more Easter eggs in the video above–tons of cold comic book references, because what superhero movie would be complete without them?–but what Easter eggs did you notice that we didn’t? Let us know them (with screen shots of you can!) in the comments below!
