Cutest Couple. Class Clown. Most Likely To Succeed. Senior Superlatives are a fun yearbook tradition dedicated to celebrating classmates for their eccentricities and achievements. So with the MCU’s latest adventure, Spider-Man: Homecoming set solidly in a New York City high school, Nerdist asked its fresh-faced cast which Senior Superlatives they’d give each other and their teen characters.
In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tom Holland stars as Peter Parker, the quick-witted 15-year-old that’s balancing the high school drama of classes and crushes with his amazing extracurricular activities, patrolling his neighborhood as the web-slinging, crime-fighting Spider-Man. While the big bad in the movie is the vicious Vulture (Michael Keaton), Peter must also face an internal battle of who he is when he’s not wearing the webbed mask.
Bringing spirit to his school life are K.C. Undercover‘s Zendaya, One Life To Live‘s Laura Harrier, and newcomer Jacob Batalon. Zendaya plays the snarky (and mysterious) sophomore Michelle, who has always got side-eye to sling, and shade to throw down. Harrier portrays beguiling and always charming Liz, captain of Peter’s academic trivia team and the love interest that makes his knees weak. And Batalon giddily steals scenes as Peter’s bff, Ned, a high-energy nerd who loves LEGOs, computers, and goofing around.
When Nerdist sat down with Zendaya, Harrier, and Batalon we toasted Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s high school setting and playful vibe with the Senior Superlatives game. We even got Holland to weigh in! Their answers revealed how each relates to their characters, and which among the class might be most likely to really save the world.
Spider-Man: Homecoming opens July 7th.
What Senior Superlative would you give Peter Parker?
