SNL This Saturday: Jennifer Lawrence Hosting Promos With Jason Sudeikis

Jennifer Lawrence is set to host Saturday Night Live this week (with musical guest The Lumineers) as she continues to build momentum for her Oscar run. I don’t think I’ve been this excited for a new episode of SNL since the last time Steve Martin hosted. If these promos are any indication, the writers are going to capitalize on Lawrence’s effortless charm and humor.

If you aren’t aware of just how funny Jennifer Lawrence can be, welcome, friend. Her talk show appearances and junket interviews are some of the most entertaining things you will ever witness. Buzzfeed collected .gifs of the evidence. The writers are doing a great job writing for hosts this year, and it’s making for some really memorable sketches. Now, let’s get Jason and Jennifer in a movie together so Sudeikis can get some of that sweet Golden Globe action too.

I always love these promos! They’re one of my favorite parts of SNL and are often under-appreciated. I like that this one even had a call-back in it!

I hadn’t realized Jennifer Lawrence was this cool until seeing these, now I totally believe it!

Catching Fire is going to be awesome… the Hunger Games was so un-Hollywood in its treatment of the book, making it feel as bleak as the book itself instead of over-producing it like crazy.

I’m so excited to see Jennifer Lawrence host SNL. I can’t lie; I marked my calendar the minute I found out. I’m a little disappointed that I can’t see her perform live on TV, since I’ll be working late at DISH. I set my DISH Hopper DVR to automatically record SNL, so I won’t be out of the loop completely. It’s a good feeling knowing I can keep the whole season of SNL plus others on my DVR since it’ll hold more than 2000 hours of shows.

    She is kinda awesome xD

Great idea josh. Mchale would be awesome to see on SNL.

Weird. She’s not my wife yet. I’m pretty sure she’s supposed to be my wife by now. At least, that’s how it happens in the dreams…

Now if they can just get Joel McHale in there sometime….
