SNL Promo: Miley Cyrus

This Saturday, October 5th, Miley Cyrus makes her triumphant post-VMA, post-freaking out the world, appearance on SNL, doing double-duty as both host and musical guest.

If you were wondering if the show would be addressing TwerkGate, just take a peek at this week’s promos (with the always hilarious Taran Killam) and be reassured that we’ll be getting some serious tongue-action come Saturday night.

Will Miley manage to top her jaw-dropping MTV performance, and is that even humanly possible? I’m gonna take a guess and say we’ll be hearing a lot about this show in the coming weeks. Watch it at 11:30 pm, Oct 5th on NBC to see it all happen for yourself.

Live from New York, like a wrecking ball.

Excited for Miley’s return to SNL? Any idea what kind of “hijinx” she’ll get up to? Kindly leave a comment, email me , check out my YouTube channel, or hit me up on the Twitter machine.

… And I feel immediately compelled to amend that by “many many years”, I mean relative to her own lifespan, i.e. she’s been famous most of her life. Just needed to get that in to stave off the inevitable torrent of “She hasn’t been ALIVE for many many years, IDIOT!” that I could feel coming.

  2. Illusion-XIII says:

@JetpackBlues Um, you.. do realize she’s been famous for many, many years, right? And she continues to sell platinum records, right? I mean, you may not personally like her music (and for the record I actually don’t), but let’s not be delusional and pretend that just because she’s chosen a crass and tasteless performance style, that she’s not massively successful and will probably continue to be. She’s far from a “15 minute” flash in the pan.
That said, I’m actually inclined to give her some credit for being willing to laugh at herself. With so many celebrities taking themselves so seriously, it’s good that she can goof on her own image a bit.

    Those promos were pretty weak.

Ugh, your 15 minutes are up Miley. Go away.
