Sneaky Zebra Captures Cosplayers at FantasyCon

Snow White, AT-STs, Dr. Horrible – FantasyCon in Salt Lake City had it all. Nerdist Alliance members Sneaky Zebra attended the convention as special guests but still made time to record a huge sampling of cosplay at the event. Given that it was FantasyCon’s first year, I’m impressed by both the number of attendees wearing costumes, and the quality. They apparently don’t kid around in Utah.

Sneaky Zebra’s cosplay supercut includes the costumes I mentioned above plus some characters from Doctor Who, Star Wars, and Game of Thrones among others. In between capturing shots of cosplayers, they also wandered around the celebrity autograph area and recorded some amusing moments with actors like Doug Jones and Billy Boyd.

Watching that makes me want to go to FantasyCon next year. Which costume from the video is your favorite? Head to the comments and let us know.

No, we do NOT mess around. Salt Lake is a surprisingly huge geek mecca. Also, Mormons are super crafty. 😉

Just because it was in Utah doesn’t mean they were all Mormons.

I know. I’m from here. Salt Lake itself is actually only about 30% Mormon, outlying regions far more so. I was making a joke about the stereotype, as indicated by the winky face. And there is, in fact, a very lively geeky Mormon subculture here that does really love to do things like make elaborate costumes for cosplay.

If you’re not Mormon already, then we’ll get you eventually… BWHAHAHAHAHAHA
