Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan Will Host a Halloween Party at His Tea Shop

Some good news, followed by equally bad news: Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan is hosting a super fun Halloween party at his tea shop Madame Zuzu’s near Chicago, and guests will have a “vintage-style, peel-apart picture” taken of them by Corgan himself.

The bad news is that tickets have already sold out.

Those lucky enough to have scooped up a ticket in time secured a reservation that includes “one reserved seat, special servings of ghoulish tea and v-gf dessert, a chance to participate in our (now) annual costume contest, and a vintage-style, peel-apart picture of you taken by your creaky yet congenial host, Count William Corgan. Only the dead could want more!”

“Ghoulish tea” isn’t a variety we are familiar with, and now it seems we may never know the mysteries it holds. What we do know is that it seems Corgan will dress as a count, perhaps a vampiric one. Corgan has plenty of other costume options that would pique his interest, however.

He could totally rock a cat costume and look like the kitties he cradled on the cover of PAWS Chicago last year. He could also go as a wrestler, considering he used to be involved with Resistance Pro Wrestling and is now a senior producer of creative and talent development at TNA Impact Wrestling. Or he could dress as an auto mechanic, since he recently ditched Twitter in favor of a new blog called People And Their Cars.

Corgan has long been one of the most interested figures in music, and the exclusivity of this potentially wonderful Halloween party only has us wanting more. There absolutely has to be a pumpkin carving contest, right?
