Shock Till You Drop to Distribute Horror Films

Nerdist isn’t the only entertainment site getting into the film distribution game (Zero Charisma premieres next week on VOD, Digital Download, and in select cinemas!); our horror-maven friends over at Shock Till You Drop are joining the fray. Having recently paired with The Orchard, a music, film, and video distribution company, for a new YouTube Channel, the two entities will now join up to distribute independent horror cinema to all the different home video platforms.

From the official press release, Shock Till You Drop and The Orchard will begin their movie-slinging with four titles: Missionary, directed by Anthony DiBlasi, starring Dawn Olivieri, Mitch Ryan, and Kip Pardue; The Complex, a new film from Hideo Nakata, director of Ringu, The Ring Two and other critically-acclaimed and award-winning films; and two new thrillers from Continental Media – Solo, starring Annie Clark, Daniel Kash, and Richard Clarkin, and Bela Kiss, based on the famous true story of a Hungarian serial killer.

Solo will begin the venture, hitting devices and stores on October 22nd. The description for the film is as follows:

17-year-old Gillian takes a job as a counselor at a remote summer camp. As part of her initiation, she must spend two nights by herself on the camp’s island, an intimidating collision of rock and wilderness carved out of the lake, supposedly haunted by the ghost of a camper who disappeared suspiciously decades before. When Gillian’s “solo” is interrupted by a local man responding to a distress call, what was meant to be a peaceful time alone in nature devolves into something disturbingly different. As her paranoia mounts, a horrifying secret is uprooted and Gillian finds herself in a desperate fight to survive.

Congrats to everyone at Shock Till You Drop for this exciting new venture. We look forward to seeing all the great things we’re sure will come in the future. And give their channel a subscribe, would ya?
