Though we’ve only had three seasons of Sherlock over the course of six years, the series may already be ready to call it quits. Season four is on the way in 2017, and it might be the last. Learn all about it in today’s TV-Cap along with an update on Gilmore Girls’ Luke’s Diner pop-ups opening around the U.S., see a Neal Adams sketch that will show up in Arrow, and more.
Let’s Examine This. BBC’s Sherlock could be ending with the fourth season. Emphasis on “could.” Benedict Cumberbatch recently spoke to GQ and said, “It might be the end of an era. It feels like the end of an era, to be honest. It goes to a place where it will be pretty hard to follow on immediately. We never say never on the show. Iâd love to revisit it, Iâd love to keep revisiting it, I stand by that, but in the immediate future we all have things that we want to crack on with and weâve made something very complete as it is, so I think weâll just wait and see. The idea of never playing him again is really galling.” That of course doesn’t explicitly state the series will be over. It sounds like the season four finale is set up in such a way that it could be complete and end the series or the plot could change the game entirely. What do you think? [Nerdist]
On the Streets. Music plays an important role in Luke Cage, so by the time Method Mans shows up in later episodes and leads into “Bulletproof Love,” you hang on every world. Marvel’s released the song by Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad featuring Method Man, and it’s just the tune your day needs. [io9]
Leading El, Some Kids. Syfy’s found the star for Krypton, a series is focused on Superman’s ancestors. The patriarch Seg-El will be played by Cameron Cuffe. Over in Scotland, Outlander’s cast a couple of key players for its third season. César Domboy will play an older Fergus and Lauren Lyle is on board as Marsali, one of Laoghaire’s daughters. [Variety]
The Differences. HBO’s Westworld has arrived (read Scott’s recap of the first episode), but long ago in the ’70s, there was a film by the same name from Michael Crichton. It’s quite different from the series, and Kyle A. breaks it all down in this post.
He’s On It. Leslie Jones has had some unfortunate problems with hackers in recent months, and we all want to see her get even. Saturday Night Live imagines Mr. Robot’s Elliot could locate the person responsible for the hack and execute justice. Watch what happens in the above video. [Nerdist]
Coffee in an IV. If you’re a fan of Gilmore Girls, you’ve probably dreamed of walking into Luke’s Diner and ordering all the coffee with a cherry danish. You can mostly make that dream come true on October 5. Netflix is working with cafés around the United States to transform them into Luke’s Diner pop-ups for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life promo. Staff will wear themed uniforms, etc. And guess what? The coffee is freeeee. Bless. Get the full list of locations here. [Nerdist, Image: Warner Bros., krwelch3/Tumblr]
New Arrow costume means new police sketch. @nealadamsdotcom was kind enough to hook us up. Look for it in Arrow's 5th season premiere. pic.twitter.com/n126ZXcCXL

New Profile. When Oliver Queen changes his vigilante costume on Arrow, the police have to update their wanted sketch accordingly. Series executive producer Marc Guggenheim shared that newest drawing of Ollie, which was done by none other than Neal Adams. Keep your eyes peeled for the sketch in the season five premiere.
Timeless Tune In. NBC’s Timeless just premiered, and though yes, it is another show about time travel, the cast says it’s different. Sydney asked the cast what makes their take on the trope stand out, and you can read their pitches here at Nerdist.
Troll Defender. Guillermo del Toro’s Trollhunters, an animated series about a teen who finds a magical amulet that turns him into the (you guessed it) Trollhunter, will arrive on Netflix in December. Entertainment Weekly has your first look at images from the series, starring Anton Yelchin in one of his final roles. [CBR, Images: Netflix]
It’s Meant to Be. Saturated as it is in ’80s culture, Stranger Things is just dying to be a pixelized 8-bit game. CineFix has sort of made that happen by coming up with this video depicting the series in that classic style. If only this was a playable adventure! [Nerdist]
Mad Hatter, Mad Harlem. The Mad Hatter debuted in last night’s Gotham; read Sydney’s recap. And then, if you’re working through Luke Cage, stop here to read my latest recaps.
Will you be keeping your eyes peeled for the Neal Adams sketch in Arrow? What are your thoughts on Timeless? Sound off in the comments.
