The premiere of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power on Netflix is just days away, but we have a treat for you. If you can’t wait to see Adora call out, “For the honor of Grayskull!,” this new clip from DreamWorks Animation will make your day. It shows Adora accepting her destiny to help the rebellion as she takes on the dazzling mantle of She-Ra.
Not only does this clip give us a hint of the friendships being forged between Adora, Glimmer, and Bow, it goes into a bit of detail about Catra. She isn’t the snarling, purring backstabber from the original She-Ra cartoon, but Adora’s friend. Catra’s fighting to bring Adora back home to the Fright Zone.
We also get a look at Adora’s full transformation into She-Ra. It’s reminiscent of a magical girl transformation sequence, Sailor Moon’s in particular, with a glowing costume and a sparkling tiara appearing out of thin air. We might not get a “I am She-Ra!” in the Princess of Power’s new metamorphosis, but this one looks like just as eye-catching and extraordinary as the 1980s version it’s inspired by.
If She-Ra still fights for the honor of Grayskull, does that mean there is a Castle Grayskull? Does He-Man exist? Does this version of Catra turn into a cat? Are the Horde’s minions still bumbling robots? We have so many questions! We can’t wait to see them answered when She-Ra and the Princesses of Power comes to Netflix on November 13.
Which Princess of Power are you looking forward to seeing the most? Tell us in the comments.
