SF Sketchfest: Pete & Pete reunion!

Any child of the late ’80s/early ’90s has a soft spot in their heart saved for anything related to the two carrot headed brothers of our televised youth, Pete & Pete, and, luckily for us, it seems the boys have been hanging out a lot more lately.

What started a few years ago as a small one-off reunion show at Cinefamily in Los Angeles, has become a now annual reunion of the cast and crew from the show we all love, The Adventures of Pete & Pete. This year, the gang made it’s triumphant return at the San Francisco Sketchfest, and we’ve got your brother-on-brother hookup.

First off, the cast reads from an episode titled “Yellow Fever”, and you’ve gotta admit; this is pretty awesome.

But wait, there’s more! Here, we are regaled with a live-reading of the episode “Farewell my little viking”.

Sure, they’ve all aged a bit (as have we), but to be able to re-capture our youths and tv greatness like this, for free, on the interwebs, makes me very happy to be alive.

  1. Danny is the latest guest on my Pop My Culture Podcast in case you guys wanna give a listen. He’s a lot of fun to talk/riff with.

This Pete and Pete reunion at the fest was a passion project of mine and I was so glad it came together so well. It helps when all involved love and treasure the work they did, which I think really shows in the footage!
