Adam Whitman is a physical therapist practicing in Bellevue, WA where he specializes in nerve based issues and scar tissue problems. His deep fascination with the human body-mind has brought him to his true passion of educating people about their inner workings. He believes that the only way to reach full potential in personal, professional, and relational life is by approaching one’s own health and wellness proactively, which isn’t possible without understanding what health and wellness really mean.
Therefore, his personal mission is to teach as many people as he can about the vital importance of being body aware, the mechanisms of function and dysfunction, and how to empower people into taking control of what’s going inside the complex masterpiece that is the human body.
His Twitter handle is @Nerd4Health, but he hasn’t yet taken his passion to the larger forums of social media and the general public. While this will start to change in the near future, currently he can be reached at [email protected] with any questions you may have.
This guy was the worst.
Sandra, after listening to this week’s show, I can’t help but have a healthy dose of skepticism about how “scientific” this approach is especially since he’s so secretive about it’s origins. Its very common for woo-practioners to wrap fringe ideas in a cloak of science jargon to give it the imprimatur of true research (e.g. Deepak Chopra). I know its not your style, but it sure would be nice to hear rebuttals or corroborations from other sources…
Could you put a link in the show notes to the other PT you had on?
Adam was an interesting guest. Thanks for going off the beaten sex educator path to get him.
I share your frustration with someone who puts the “ownership” of a certain approach to furthering health ahead of the distribution of that knowledge, and its broader application (or at least wishes to have the appearance of doing so). Otherwise, an interesting discussion.
