Chris Fairbanks has been on Conan, Comedy Central, and Jimmy Kimmel Live, along with countless other standup gigs. He’s an artist. And he’s a skateboarder of note. All of which would lead you to think that he’s fearless, but he says he’s nervous and sweaty before taking on Paul Provenza and Troy Conrad’s Set List on the Nerdist Channel, and maybe that’s for good reason: Among the topics he has to handle with spontaneous comedy are what I’d call the world’s worst jukebox, a really bad job, freeing “Jerry,” and long-running hostilities taken to their extremes, which almost sends Chris right over the edge. Seriously, this list is one of the toughest yet.
Nobody said this would be easy. Quite the contrary, actually.
Ive spent hours watching this now.
It proves the difference in true improved funny talent, and those who just rehearse what they are gonna say. The funniest people Ive ever met are the ones who are always ready with something to say for everything.
I’d also like to add that many of the people on this show are usually funnier with their quick wit, but may be having a slow night.
On the same level some people may be having that perfect night in the zone where everything clicks.
