After what feels like an eternity of casting, special effects, teasers, and trailers, the Warcraft movie is almost here. (Finally!) Soon we will see what it’s like to be immersed in the epic world that has wowed (sorry) fans of the games for decades. Duncan Jones’ hotly anticipated adaptation of the Blizzard Entertainment series hits theaters June 10, culminating in an epic battle between Orcs and humans, and with groundbreaking mo-cap work, to boot. Yes, it’s once again time to choose a side… and a theater, because Warcraft is also hitting the world a little bit early!
Because they love you, Legendary and Universal have teamed up with AMC and IMAX to bring Warcraft to select theaters one day early (on Wednesday, June 8), so mega fans can see the film before anyone else. Not only will you be able to see the Alliance and Horde face off on the largest screen possible, you get to see this battle with some pretty cool extras. All IMAX preview screenings will include an event lanyard and mini one sheet, and the screening will include 10 minutes of exclusive behind-the-scenes and tidbits from the red carpet premiere.
Tickets for the June 8 event go on sale today, May 5, on AMC’s website. Check out the list of participating theaters below, don’t miss our breakdown of the Warcraft trailer, and let us know if you’ll be attending this advance preview in the comments!
