See the Discovered “Star Trek” Documents of “Mission Log”

Are you listening to Mission Log: A Roddenberry Star Trek Podcast every week? You probably are (and if not, you should), but you may not realize that when Ken and John (I’m gonna put them in that order to not confuse them with another John and Ken) talk about the “discovered documents” found in the Star Trek/Roddenberry archives, you can follow along by going to the show’s website and checking out scans of those very documents.

It’s very, very cool to read the actual production memos, because you can’t really get a feel for what it’s like to get notes on a script unless you see the actual document as it was delivered over 40 years ago. And it’s awesome to be able to read the story outline for an episode, with a different title and other stuff that didn’t make it into the shooting script. It’s stuff you haven’t seen before, and it’s an essential companion to the podcast (and it’s worth checking out even if you haven’t heard the podcast, because it’s all part of TV history).

Go to the Mission Log website now and see the Discovered Documents.
