Imagine a perfect painting of Star Wars‘ own BB-8, or the Weasleyâs Flying Car floating towards Hogwarts. Believe it or not, you can find these delightful portraits, but not on canvas or hanging in a museum. Instead they are meticulously composed onto eyelids.
Instagram user Kiki Makeup showcases her amazing talent that is painting pop-culture references onto her own face. Itâs hard to believe that something so small could be painted with such precision, but these scenes are so real. They’d be impressive even if she weren’t working with a space only about two inches wide.
Kiki takes requests, but you can tell by her feed which properties she prefers: Disney and Game of Thrones are faves, though Harry Potter seems to be a true inspiration. The piece that stands out is Harryâs letters arriving from Hogwarts at the Dursleyâs. The elegance of each brick of the fireplace spewing out Hogwarts letters, to the point of detail that even Harryâs initials and little wax seals are included on each envelope.
In the caption of each photo she lays out all the products for each detail, specific eyeshadows and eyeliners for brow bones and inner corners. Not that itâs that easy, thereâs still nothing quite like seeing how itâs really done. The thought of using eye-makeup remover to destroy these glorious portraits hurts my soul. At least they will live on forever on Instagram.
