Although we’ve had a deluge of casting rumors about Joss Whedon’s highly anticipated sequel to 2012’s Avengers, the fact of the matter remains that we’ll still have to wait patiently until May 1, 2015 to see Avengers: Age of Ultron in action. Or will we? Entertainment Weekly broke the news that on Tuesday, March 18th, ABC will give True Believers their first glimpse at the superheroic sequel in a documentary special called Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe, which will give viewers a âfront row seat to the inception of Marvel Studios, the record-breaking films, the cultural phenomenon, and further expansion of the universe by Marvel Television.â
In addition to our first look at Age of Ultron, the special will give fans a look at new footage from other upcoming Marvel releases like Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as new preview footage for ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. What exactly is in store for us on the special? The Comic-Con Ultron reveal? Our first look at a non-goofy Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch? More footage of grips lugging a weird-looking Hulk head around in South Africa? You’ll just have to tune in and find out (or rampantly speculate in the comments below).
