Last year, Sarah Koenig’s Serial was the podcast that got everybody talking. In twelve tense episodes, it told the horrifying case of Adnan Syed; a teenager who was convicted of killing Hae Min Lee in the year 2000. Syed was sentenced to life in prison in Maryland, though he has always claimed innocence. Upon its release, the podcast unearthed many surprising aspects of the case that indicated Syed may not be guilty as charged. At present, this remains to be proven.

Following up on the success of this podcast, Serial is coming back for a second season, highlighting an entirely different case. Today, Pandora announced that it will stream the series after episodes debut on iTunes, podcast apps, and the Serial website. Although a lot of people already listen to Serial, this will hopefully expand its reach even further, including those who haven’t yet discovered the wonderful world of podcasts.

“Pandora is all about discovery and this gives us a great opportunity – not only to offer each of you a great new experience, but to help Serial expand its audience,” Pandora founder Tim Westergren wrote in a blog post. “We can’t share when season two will launch, or what it’s about (both are highly guarded secrets).”

Though the subject of season two has yet to be announced, a rumor spread last month that the show would focus on Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the U.S. soldier who was held captive in Afghanistan from June 2009 to May 2014. Whatever the subject, we know that the second round of Serial will introduce a captivating true story told with raw sensitivity, and most importantly, a perspective that never forces one side on the listener.
