SDCC Exclusive: THE AWESOMES’ Prock Goes From Action Hero to Action Figure

As if being the new face of Late Night on NBC wasn’t enough for SNL alum Seth Meyers, he’s continuing his stint as crimefighter extraordinaire Prock, leader of the band of superheroic black sheep, The Awesomes on Hulu’s appropriately named The Awesomes. In celebration of the upcoming August 4th premiere of The Awesomes Season 2, Prock is getting turned into a limited edition action figure available exclusively at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. But don’t take our word for it — feast your eyes on the collector’s edition figure above! Not too shabby, eh? Can’t you just feel your wallet lightening by the moment?

Here’s the official description of what’s in store for season two.

About: “The Awesomes”: A Hulu Original

Hulu’s hit original series, The Awesomes, is back! This animated show for adults combines the thrills of comic book storytelling with the hallmark irreverent and inspired comedy of co-creators Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker (Late Night with Seth Meyers). It’s the story of the greatest superhero team in history, The Awesomes, and what happens after all the most powerful members leave. Season 2 pits The Awesomes against new supervillain, Malocchio Jr. (Will Forte), and his mom, Lady Malocchio (Maya Rudolph). In addition to keeping the streets safe, Prock (Meyers) will face one of his biggest challenges yet: new love interest Jocelyn Stone (Amy Poehler) and an unexpected love triangle. Join co-creators Meyers and Shoemaker, cast members Taran Killam (Saturday Night Live), and Josh Meyers (That ’70s Show), and writer/producer Dan Mintz (Bob’s Burgers) for a special Comic-Con panel and audience Q&A that will include never-before-seen footage. The second season of The Awesomes premieres August 4 on Hulu. It is a Hulu co-production with Broadway Video (Saturday Night Live) and Bento Box Entertainment (Bob’s Burgers).

In addition to the Comic-Con exclusive, The Awesomes are also assembling for a panel to mete out justice and, presumably, new footage in equal measure on Saturday, July 26 at 2PM in the Indigio Ballroom at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel.
