As pricey as Hot Toys can be on just their standard, exquisitely detailed and scarily lifelike 12-inch figures, they always bring at least one insanely huge item to Comic-Con that may or may not ever see the light of day at retail, or be afforded by anyone less wealthy than the current U.S. president. This year, it’s a Justice League movie Batmobile in full-on 12-inch scale.
If that’s just TOO big, there still promising a similarly scaled but smaller Back to the Future DeLorean.
And what would these huge vehicles be without figures to populate them? Justice League is getting the works.
As if you had to ask…of course Cyborg has light-up features.
Looks like Batman has been copping some of Nite Owl’s style.
Check out all the accessories, including bonus snap-on eye expressions and growly jowls.
If you’re more of a Marvel guy, how about MARY POPPINS Y’ALL.
I’M BELLE Y’ALL!
Punishingly good:
Also, Thor: Ragnarok is getting all the major players, including Hulk.
In the Star Wars world, we get Tarkin, who thankfully looks more like real Peter Cushing than CGI-mask Peter Cushing.
Also–somewhat hilariously–an ultra-realistic figure of the Star Wars Holiday Special animated Boba Fett (i.e. the only part of the whole show Lucasfilm will even acknowledge the existence of today).
Oh hai Valerian and Laureline!
With Hot Toys dominating the 12-inch figure field, Sideshow now mostly focuses on premium format statues. What caught our eyes the most included Rey and BB-8…
…and a Masters of the Universe Evil-Lyn both sexy and terrifying.
We want them all. We’ll be lucky to afford even one. But it costs you nothing to look.
What catches your eye? Let us know in comments.
