Say Thee ‘YAY!’ with These Medieval Renditions of The Avengers and Ultron

If you’re like me, you’ve already seen Age of Ultron at least twice (You can read Kyle Anderson’s review here). You bought yourself a t-shirt, binged all the movies beforehand, and despite the health risks, ate the cereal. Yet, after all that, you are still clamoring for more. Thanks to artist Daniel Kamarudin, not only can you have more, but also different.

Daniel has taken all of the characters from the summer’s biggest blockbuster and created an art gallery reimagining them as medieval characters. Much like the dark tone the film takes at times, Daniel has set a dark tone with these pictures as well.

Looking at the gallery is definitely making me question whether or not I should reactivate my World of Warcraft account. I don’t think my create-a-character skills are quite up to the talents of Daniel, though.

What really impresses me with the gallery is addressing the Avengers’ technology. Stealing the idea from Thor himself, what we consider magic is just science we haven’t figured out yet. It makes sense that The Vision, Iron Man, and Hawkeye’s bow have a mythical feel to it. Ultron looking more like a creature than a robot also fits with the tone (He reminds me of the Colossal Titan, to be honest). And of COURSE, you would replace Black Widow‘s pistol’s with two insane looking daggers, because she’s awesome.

You can check out more of Daniel’s art on his DeviantArt gallery page here.

So what say you? Are you a fan with this alternative take on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes? Which one is your favorite? Do you ALSO want a statue made of the Hawkeye painting and mailed to your house so you can show it off to all your friends? Let me know on Twitter or in the Comments below.
