Savior Fans Make a Spiritual Successor to Cancelled Horror Title SILENT HILLS

It’s one of gaming’s greatest tragedies: a Silent Hills installment created by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro and starring Norman Reedus, struck down by a vengeful Konami and cancelled before more than a “playable trailer” could be revealed. That trailer, a horrifying demo called P.T., was simultaneously wiped from the Playstation Store–permanently ending any chance for fans to dive back in.

But wait! Six courageous developers at a new company called Lillith Ltd. have banded together to create a spiritual successor to P.T. that looks every ounce as terrifying as the demo that stole our hearts. Can Allison Road be the survival-horror experience we’ve been looking for? And what does it’s existence say about the future of indie, fan-driven games?

Join Jessica Chobot as she tells you everything you need to know about Allison Road, and points the way towards a thrilling future full of Unreal Engine 4 Marios and unlicensed remakes of MediEvil on today’s Nerdist News!

Thanks for watching today’s show, don’t miss the latest episode of Because Science, and let us know in the comments below if you’ve got the guts to play Allison Road.
