Sarah Koenig Admits the Truth on SERIAL in New Funny or Die Short

For the past few months, there’s been one big question on the internet’s hive mind: is Adnan Syed innocent or guilty? Don’t know what that question refers to? Maybe you’ve been living under a rock if you have not been made aware of the latest sensation that’s turned podcasting more mainstream than the medium’s ever been: Serial. From the producers of The American Life, the series takes a look at a single criminal case week-by-week, leaving it up to the audience to decide the truth.

This week will mark the conclusion of the series’ first season and to celebrate, Funny or Die made a new short that we’re pretty sure will be spot on once the finale airs:

Can you imagine being Sarah over the last few weeks? Constantly being accosted for answers she’s stated in the past she doesn’t even have? Hell, season two’s probably going to be the case of the host’s act of violence against a fan that couldn’t let the show speak for itself.

Kidding aside, Serial is an amazing thing for the world of podcasting. When people’s grandparents are asking about the show, you know you’ve clicked onto something special. So, while we anxiously wait for the final episode of the season, we’re going to take a step back in revel in this watershed moment for the medium.

How do you think Serial’s going to conclude season one tomorrow? Let us know in the comments below.
