SAMURAI JACK Season 5 Clip, Blink Cast for X-MEN Pilot, and More TV News

Television news is a thing I have for you today, and I have it in spades. Today’s TV-Cap has a clip from season five of Samurai Jack, word on who’s been cast as Blink for the untitled X-Men pilot, the release date for the next season of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K), and more. Let’s not take up any more time and space with this preamble.

Weapons Galore. Fifty years has passed in the world of Samurai Jack, but the character hasn’t aged. He’s as capable as ever at taking down robots, and a clip from the premiere–which is the first new footage we’ve seen in over 12 years, no big deal–shows off his armor and that he’s packing all the weaponry. It’s intense, and I’m here for it. And this preview shared by Entertainment Weekly is just a taste of what’s ahead. Uh, can it be time for the March 11 premiere yet? [Collider]

Dream Cast. Marvel’s The Inhumans made a key casting move this week by choosing Iwan Rheon to play Maximus the Mad, but we are on the edge of our seats for news about who else will be in the series. Eric has a list of who he’d choose to play the royal family right here at Nerdist. Agree/disagree? Tell me your picks in the comments.

Many Sides. Danny Rand has been away a long time, and when he returns to his life, he finds he can’t pick back up as easily as he perhaps he imagined he would. If you’re not sure about this Iron Fist guy or the premise of the upcoming Marvel Netflix series, this featurette is here to give you an assist. Bonus: it features some rad Iron Fist power. [Nerdist]

A Familiar Face. That as-yet-untitled Fox X-Men pilot from Bryan Singer has found another cast member, and it’s a name X-Men fans will know: Blink. Jamie Chung will play the teleporting mutant. You can learn more about Blink and where we’ve seen her on screen before here at Nerdist.

Dates of Note. Open your calendar and prepare to take down some information about MST3K and Fargo. MST3K will be back with season 11 (!) on April 14 on Netflix. Oh. Boy. Then, over at FX, you can get ready for the return of Fargo; its third season will arrive on April 19. [Nerdist and /Film]

Gorilla-Sized Anger. There is one thing I know about The Flash, and it is that I’m always down for a Grodd appearance. The creature returns to Central City in its next episode on February 28 and he’s not super happy. [CBR]

Spring Viewing! Need recommendations for anime series to fill your spring schedule? Whew, because Dan so has your back in the latest installment of The Dan Cave, embedded above for your viewing convenience. [Nerdist]

Back for More. Heads-up, Lethal Weapon on Fox fans: the network has renewed the show for a second season. See! Fox does renew things sometimes. [IGN]

Suspicions. The next episode of Star Wars Rebels will make things more dangerous for Fulcrum. A clip from “Through Imperial Eyes” conveys the threat in the air and also features Wullf Yularen! Plus, there’s Thrawn in workout gear, which is now an action figure I need.

Remember. So you know Wednesday night is the best night for television right now? Yeah, we have recaps for that. Read our thoughts on:

On a scale of one to I need it yesterday, how ready are you for more Samurai Jack? Sound off in the comments.
