Seriously…possible SPOILERS. We’re really gonna say them…
NOW…
Captain America: Civil War is shaping up to be Marvelâs biggest movie yet, with more superheroes than any of the Avengers films and the much-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of Spider-Man, as portrayed by Tom Holland. According to Marvel Studiosâ Kevin Feige, the MCUâs Spider-Man is already active and he was even alluded to in the closing scene of Ant-Man.
A new report on Geek.com claims to have details regarding Spider-Manâs first appearance in Captain America: Civil War.
âOur source told us is that Tony goes to Peter Parker specifically to recruit him, and to seal the deal, offers him an advanced Spider-suit to fight in â an upgrade from whatever 15-year-old Peter was previously slinging around in. But why would Peter even consider such an offer? âPeter started becoming Spidey because he grew up and idolized Tony,â our source revealed. Since Iron Man takes place 10 years before we meet Peter in Civil War, where Peter is 15, that means Peter was five-years-old when Tony broke onto the scene in the original Iron Man, likely dominating the news as Peter grew into a teenager. If the guy you admire and look up to suddenly shows up on your balcony with a sweet piece of tech and says, âhey, letâs be bros,â are you going to turn him down?â
That report included some conjecture that Tony Stark has been monitoring Spider-Manâs activity since he first became a superhero.
Itâs an interesting theory and rumor, which is far from confirmed. In Marvelâs original Civil War miniseries, Spider-Man was an adult, but he did admire Iron Man and receive an upgraded costume (dubbed the Iron Spider) shortly before he sided with Tony Stark over Captain America.
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6.
