If you’ve felt lately that your life is a dark room- one. big. dark. room.- here’s a ray of light for you. Rumors are swirling like a sandworm around Alec Baldwin that a Beetlejuice 2 is in the works. Michael Keaton confirmed to MTV during a junket forRobocop, that he and Tim Burton have been emailing about the possibility, and that a writer has been talked to.
Winona Ryder had mentioned previously that she was involved in a Beetlejuice-related project, that it wouldn’t be a remake, but a sequel set 27 years later.
This of course is all irrelevant without Tim Burton’s cooperation, but if he’s in, I’m in, they’re in, let’s do this. He’s currently working on a film called Big Eyes with Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz, and is rumored to be involved with an adaptation of Ransom Rigg’s YA novel Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
Maybe we can manifest this ourselves: Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice.
